Proposed vacuum ultraviolet laser in nitric oxide

Abstract

We propose a new optically pumped laser which operates in the VUV region of the spectrum with pulse energies in the millijoule range. The proposed laser is expected to oscillate on ten to thirteen new laser lines between 158 and 250 nm.
