Machining learning assisted microstructured multimode optical fiber hydrophone

Abstract

We built a fiber-optic hydrophone using a multimode microstructured pressure-sensitive fiber with a multi-fiber fanout. A neural network is used for signal post-processing and achieved better results than a commercial electric hydrophone.
