Fieldtest of a Fiber Optic Hydrophone

Abstract

In 1995, TPD performed fieldtests on the ND1 FO hydrophone. The normalized sensitivity is found to be about -283 dB re 1/µPa. The maximum operation pressure, which is measured with a prototype of the ND1, is more than 3.5 MPa.
