Raman Distributed Temperature Sensor with High Spatial and Temperature Resolution Using Optimized Graded-Index Few-Mode Fiber over 25 km-long Distance

Abstract

We propose Raman distributed temperature sensor with high spatial and temperature resolution using optimized graded-index few-mode fiber. In experiment, we achieved a 1-°C temperature resolution with negligible degradation on spatial resolution over 25 km-long distance.
