Abstract

The dispersion tolerance of SOA-MZI-based Optical 3R Regenerators implemented in a 2400km–long 40Gbit/s WDM transmission line is numerically investigated, showing a wide +/−20ps/nm range in the dispersion compensation when considering a 5dB reduction in the system performance
