Polarimetric four-wave mixing between two wavelengths in a single-mode fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally a new polarimetric four-wave-mixing process in a single-mode fiber with two wavelengths. This process can result in polarization-induced crosstalk among WDM channels, yet has potential applications in wavelength conversion.
