Abstract
In magneto-optical data storage, magnetically-induced super resolution (MSR) is one of promising technologies for realizing high-density recording. There are various detection schemes to detect data marks in the disks. Among them, center aperture detection (CAD) requires no initializing or bias field for readout. The CAD-MSR film usually consists of two or three magnetic layers. The magnetization of readout layer is in-plane at room temperature but becomes perpendicular at high temperature [1,2]. In the three-layer structure, an intermediate layer is used to mediate the exchange coupling between readout and writing layers so that abrupt transition of polar Kerr rotation can be obtained [3]. In the studies of CAD-MSR, magneto-optical Kerr effect measurements are usually conducted in a electromagnet equipped with a heating stage. Here we present some experimental results on CAD-MSR sample using static tester.
