Abstract

Optical disk systems, using a laser beam for data recording and reading, are expected for use as high density information storage systems. Recently, erasable magneto-optical disk systems have come up in the commercial market. On the other hand, there are many requirements for higher data transfer rate systems, such as digital video image applications. A multi-beam optical disk drive1),2) can meet these requirements by following reasons.
