Abstract
The Sealed Disk Assembly (SDA) requires different interfacing to a read/write machine than does an optical disk, which uses a conventional aluminum substrate. This paper describes a laboratory disk recorder which is designed specifically to interface with the web-based SDA and gives technical performance data to demonstrate how well the disk/recorder interface works.
