Abstract
Photon dynamics of a radiation field, prepared in the thermocoherent state and interacting with an N-level atomic system, are studied theoretically. It is observed that the phenomenon of collapse and revival has strong dependence on the number of levels the atom has. It is also observed that the collapse and revival phenomenon is very sensitive to the initial number of photons present in the system, to the coupling constants, and to the detuning.
