Abstract

Barium titanate, BaTiCO3, has been extensively used for photorefractive applications primarily because of its large two-beam-coupling gain and self-pumped phase-conjugate reflectivity. Decreasing its response time is important for many optical information processing applications. High-temperature measurements of carrier mobilities in barium strontium titanate,1 Ba0.03Sr0.97TiO3, have shown an increase in their magnitude relative to barium titanate thus potentially reducing their response times.
