Abstract

One of the proposed advantages of free-space optics for digital optical computing or for electrooptic interconnections is the potential for large numbers of input/output connections (pin-outs). In this experiment, we demonstrate the parallel operation of a 2-D array of 209 (an 11 X 19 array) symmetric self-electrooptic effect devices (S-SEEDs).1
