Abstract

High-power phased array laser diodes typically emit multilobed far-field patterns. For many practical applications, a single-lobed diffraction-limited far-field beam pattern is most desired. Various schemes1,2 have been used to modify the multi-lobed far-field pattern into a single lobe.
