Abstract
Acoustooptic Bragg cells are used in a variety of real-time signal processors such as RF spectrum analyzers convolvers and correlators. The ultimate achievable bandwidth of acoustoooptic Bragg cells is limited by the acoustic attenuation of the interaction medium.1 For certain applications such as the coarse channelizer at the rf front end, a more suitable approach is to implement the spatial light modulation using the electrooptic effect.
