1/f Noise in Semiconductor Lasers and Its Reduction

Abstract

A Combination of optical and electrical feedback to suppress frequency noise of semiconductor laser is studied theoretically by adding a 1/f noise source in the laser equations and calculating the frequency noise spectrum. The feedback suppression is realized experimentally.
