Extended reach access Network based on Aggregation of the G-PON traffic

Abstract

We propose to increase the reach and reduce the number of central offices by traffic aggregation of four G-PONs, achieving 10 Gbit/s downstream traffic. Upstream burst mode traffic at 1.25Gbit/s is converted into continuous mode.
