Coherent Acoustic Phonon Dynamics in Exciton Self-Trapping

Abstract

The dynamics of exciton self-trapping are studied using femtosecond impulsive excitation techniques. The low-frequency response reflects generation of coherent acoustic waves, with an acoustic wavelength that scales with exciton localization length.
