Bulk plasmon polariton gap solitons in Cantor-like metamaterial photonic superlattices

Abstract

We study the nonlinear effects on the light propagation properties, in a one-dimensional Kerr dielectric/metamaterial Cantor-like quasiperiodic photonic superlattice, showing the excitation of soliton-like modes in the plasmon-polariton gap.
