Spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) method for characterizing surgical wound sites

Abstract

We apply Monte Carlo simulation to obtain the diffuse reflectance for a surgical wound model with experimental validation. The SFDI resolution in detecting wound structure change are found dependent on scattering coefficient and wound width.
