Abstract

In recent years there has been made considerable progress in laser cooling and manipulation of atoms.[1,2] There has been achieved the temperature TR≅R/kB≅10-6 K which is determined by the atom recoil energy R. The search for new mechanisms that allow to receive more and more narrow velocity distributions goes on.
