X-Ray Laser Interaction Plasmas for Free-Bound Lasers

Abstract

Intense x-ray lasers with a brightness above 1014W/cm2/str are now available in saturable x-ray lasers with a double pass cavity.[1] Focusing such an intense x-ray laser on matter may create a plasma which has never been produced before in the laboratory.
