Abstract
The investigation of the dynamic quantum mechanical properties in coupled quantum wells which consist of two quantum wells located sufficiently close together has been a subject of much interest.[1-2] For a particle initially confined in one of the wells, spatial coherent oscillations occur if the energy states in both wells are brought together with an applied field or by engineering the energy band structures. During spatial coherent oscillation process, there is a much faster phase oscillation. This phase oscillation shows a “left-hand” and a “right-hand” polarization in the first and the second well respectively.
