Abstract
The dynamics of the highly excited molecules has been the subject of intensive studies for the past two decades. A systematic measurement of the single rotational level fluorescence lifetimes of these excited states is of great importance because it provides us a clue for understanding the dynamical properties of the molecules. However, since the important spectrum of the small molecules falls in the region of vacuum ultraviolet(VUV), no detailed investigation on the dynamical behavior was possible until a tunable coherent VUV laser came to use.
