Abstract

The spectroscopic study of the vibrationally highly excited state of polyatomic molecules is of fundamental importance, since it is expected to clarify 1) the mechanism of energy randomization among · vibrational modes and 2) the quantum correspondence of the vibrational chaos. A number of theoretical studies have been reported on the vibrational dynamics in the vibrationally highly excited region of triatomic molecules [1,2].
