Nonlinear Optical Effects in Channel Waveguide Devices Fabricated in Semiconductor-Doped Glass

Abstract

We have observed strong fluence-dependent transmission effects in Ka+/Na+ ion-exchange channel waveguide devices fabricated in semiconductor-doped glass. Single channels, directional couplers and asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometers were investigated.
