Abstract
This presentation will discuss the current status of CMOS image sensors, including consumer products, high speed video capture, machine vision, medical (such as the low- power, swallowable pill-camera), and biometric applications. The second portion of the presentation will address the future potential of these sensors in other systems. A brief tutorial on how these sensors work and differ from their CCD ancestors will also be presented.
