Guided Wave Coupled Surface Plasmon Polariton Mode Enhanced Plasmonic Charges Driven Solar Water Splitting

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an engineered, closely packed gold nanoparticle one-dimensional grating over ITO waveguide. It displays coupled guided mode- surface plasmon resonant states that improves 1.65 times photocurrent efficiency compared to uncoupled modes.
