Abstract

Coherent effects in atomic media have attracted considerable attention in recent years. In most cases investigations of coherent population trapping (CPT), responsible for electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), were performed on alkaline atoms when both ground state hyperfine levels were coupled to common excited state (Λ-scheme) [1]. We present the experimental research of spectral properties of a coherently prepared degenerate two-level atomic gas.
