Photon echo of homogeneous assembly of atoms

Abstract

Photon echo of homogeneous assembly of atoms in stationary magnetic or electric fields is predicted. The homogeneity of assembly of atoms means that every atom is in the same condition and state, so that the inhomogeneous broadening is absent. That is why reversible relaxation of macroscopic optical polarization is also absent, and, consequently, the ordinary photon echo cannot take place in this case.
