Abstract

Recently much effort was focused on the problem of spatial pattern formation in laser.1,2 We considered a one-dimensional process which is described by semiclassical equations with two types of boundary conditions (BC). Physically the periodic BC corresponds to thin ring geometry of an active medium (here x is the angle coordinate). Neumann BC corresponds to line segment geometry and can be applied for semiconductor arrays.
