Abstract

Iron doping in potassium niobate is known to increase the maximum value of the two-beam coupling gain. Because a high two-beam coupling gain is a prerequisite for efficient phase conjugation in all known geometries, Fe:KNbO3 was often selected for the studies of optimized phase-conjugate (PC) mirrors. Recently, the good performance of this crystal as a phase-conjugate mirror has been shown.1
