Abstract

Various experimental and modeling studies fo the XeF laser system have shown the need for detailed level dependent studies of the relaxation kinetics. In this paper we describe a method for producing and observing the time dependent decay of specific vibrational levels of the XeF(B1/2) state in order to measure the level dependent radiative lifetimes, B-C mixing rates, vibrational relaxation rates and quenching rates.
