A Parallel Structure for Polar Codes with Adaptive Frozen Set

Abstract

We propose a parallel structure for polar codes which is suitable for parallel/pipelined decoding. Our proposed structure outperforms the regular polar code with same length by 0.2 to 0.4dB and can achieve the performance of a polar code with a length twice the length of component codes.
