Freeing the NV qubit with an efficient optical interface

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

This paper presents the recent progress towards building the apparatus for an efficient spin photon interface for the negatively charged nitrogen vacancy centre in diamond. This includes the coupling of an ion implanted NV centre to an open access optical microcavity as well as consistent coherent control of its spin state.
