Abstract

We report on the fabrication of single-crystal diamond photonic crystal nanocavities coupled the diamond nitrogen vacancy center, an emitter system with optically accessible electron spins and the ability to transfer electron states to nuclear spins. We discuss techniques to realize cavity-coupled NV centers with coherence times exceeding 100µs.
