Abstract

Parameters of silicon solar cells (SC) covered by diamond-like carbon (DLC) films have been investigated before and after thermal annealing, ion implantation and ultraviolet irradiation. The significant improvement of SC efficiency was observed for SC with thin (~50-70 nm) antireflecting DLC films. Thick (~1000-1500 nm) DLC films deposited on the working side of the SC allow to increase its stability relating to effect of proton and ultraviolet (UV) irradiation.
