Abstract

We report on surface-plasmon-polariton-enhanced measurements of strain-wave-induced time-dependent diffraction changes of a Au-covered, segmented grating. Surface Acoustic Waves and Longitudinal Waves are identified and enhanced by a factor of 15 and 4.6, respectively.
