Active Beam Steering of Terahertz Waves with Phase Change-based Metasurfaces

Abstract

We demonstrate active control of THz beams with a phase change material, VO2, patterned into a metasurface microcavity. We experimentally confirm simulations showing up to 35 degree deflection at 300 GHz.
