Third-harmonic generation on chip through cascaded χ(2) processes

Abstract

By integrating two periodic poling structures into a single high-Q lithium niobate microresonator, cascaded SHG and SFG achieved third-harmonic generation on-chip at a wavelength of 520 nm with an efficiency of 0.6%.
