Abstract

We demonstrate a cladding-pumped hybrid-amplifier for low-power input seed-signals, by concatenating single-mode and HOM Yb-fibers. An 115mW average-power pulsed-source (8ns, 250kHz) was amplified to 52W output, using a 120W, 975nm multimode-pump, yielding 57% slope-efficiency.
