Reconversion of Higher-Order-Mode (HOM) Output from a Cladding-Pumped Hybrid Yb:HOM Amplifier

Abstract

We demonstrate reconversion of HOM output from an Yb:HOM amplifier to Gaussian- shaped beam by use of axicon based re-converter. Clean Gaussian-like beam was achieved with ~67% efficiency, close to theoretical value.
