Temporal multiplexing of heralded single photons with a resource-efficient fiber loop

Abstract

We have implemented resource-efficient active multiplexing that synchronises single photons generated by several consecutive pump pulses with a single optical switch. We demonstrate an increase in delivery probability per mode of heralded single photons.
