Abstract

Multiphoton microscopy (MPM) has long been a corner stone in the field of bioimaging spearheading deep tissue, and label-free imaging. The inherit sectioning capability, and reduced photo-induced damage makes MPM an ideal tool for the study of thick live samples related to clinical studies. The ExtreMed (Extreme Ultrashort Pulses for Advanced Medical Applications and Diagnostics) project [*], is on the forefront in the exploration of MPM with the utilization of a few-cycle ultra-broadband sub-10 fs pulsed laser and applying the patented SyncRGB-FLIM (synchronous Red-Green-Blue fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy) method [1, 2].
