Non-radiative transitions of Cr4+ in Y3Al5O12

Abstract

Non-radiative transitions (NRT) taking place in impurity centers in crystals determine significantly the possibility to use given crystal in different applications of quantum electronics. Different models of NRT have been developed up to now. In the present paper we report about the new model closely related to the crystal field theory.
