Abstract

Low - lying energy levels, the constant of the electron - phonon interaction and the probabilities of non-radiative transitions (NRT) of LiCaAlF6: Cr3+ were calculated. The energy spectrum we obtained using point charge model (PCM) and the exchange charge model (ECM) of the crystal field. The constants of the electron - phonon interaction (EPI) were obtained in the linear approximation and the oscillating field model.

Using the model of energy levels crossing in the theory of NRT, we investigated the temperature dependence of the NRT probabilities betwen 4T2g and 4A2g levels. Comparison with experiments is discussed.
