Abstract

In recent years there has been a great interest in studying coupled nonlinear oscillators since they exhibit very interesting behaviour, including synchronization of chaos. This phenomenon may have a strong impact in, e.g., chaos encryption. In this sense, it is essential to understand the mechanisms behind the synchronization process. This process is influenced by the coupling time, i.e. the time the information takes to travel from one sub-system to the other.
