Stabilization of Broad Area Lasers by Structured Delayed Optical Feedback

Abstract

We report on the stabilization of the emission of broad area lasers (BALs) by structured delayed optical feedback (SDOF). Results of macroscopic experiments and microscopic simulations on the basis of semiconductor Maxwell-Bloch delay equations are presented confirming each other.
