Abstract

The Bragg diffraction conditions in volume photorefractive holograms can be satisfied or violated by changing the refractive index. This can be achieved by applying the external electric field (Eo). The electric field selectivity (EFS) is characterized by the magnitude of variations in the applied electric field when the diffraction efficiency goes from the maximum to its first zero.
