Accounting for absorption saturation effects in pulsed z-scan measurements

Abstract

Z-scan technique is sensitive method for measuring the sign and magnitude of light induced changes in the refractive index. These changes could be due to such mechanisms as local heating, Kerr effect, changes in the local temperature and population of excited states.
