Abstract

Recently Cr4+:YSGG-crystal was demonstrated to be very stable and reliable Q-switch for different Nd-type lasers.1 In the present paper the results of experimental study of the spectral and thermooptical characteristics of Nd:YAG laser with Cr4+:YSGG Q-switch as well as thermooptical properties and residual absorption of the Cr4+:crystal are presented.
